Hi! Can someone explain to me what Faux Smocked is? How do you do it? ( not the gathered version you see on little girls dresses) I have some machine fonts and they are faux smocked. Love the pattern and want to do it myself. Is it made on a programmable stitch creator? I have 2 versions of that program and tried to make it but, haven't gotten it to come out right. Can anyone help? Here's a picture of that im trying to do. Thank you in Advance!

Welcome to Cute. I'm not a digitiser, but I'm sure someone will come along soon who can help you out. It reminds me of a checkerboard design. Good luck with your quest. Love Chris, Newcastle, Australia.

It is a motif fill...your's is similar except you have not offset the rows...kind of like laying bricks or a basket weave. You may have to create your own motif in your software then save it as a motif.

Thank you! I've been doing it as a the stitch fill. I try it as the motif fill instead and see how that comes out.
