Thanks for the reminder of what we have to be grateful for because of their service.

Thank you. As a dependent of a retired US Air Force Chaplain I very much appreciate hearing that our fellow citizens keep us all in prayer. I also want to ask for prayers for the folks you know who have lost loved ones and that includes our beloved fur babies.

My dad, brothers, Uncles and SIL all served. As an Air Force brat, I know that "Thanks" are very appreciated by those who have served. God Bless them and our Country!

I will be thinking of my dad, a WWII Navy veteran. Every year he dragged us to a long - maybe two hours - service at the National Cemetery in the horrible heat, in rain, etc. I never understood how that made us better people. This was where I first learned about Gold Star mothers. Every year they got more and more feeble. Only about six years before my dad died, he finally opened up a bit about the war to my mother. In one battle in the Pacific, in one day, he lost his three best friends. Now I understand that he was there at the cemetery for them, and in gratitude for the long, happy life he had lived that those three friends did not get.

Thank God for ALL of our veteran's! If we can read thank a teacher if we can read in English thank a vet!
