Hello Cuties! This morning after sleeping later than usual, my daughter Marsha calls. She said on Facebook (I'm not on FB) someone was having a garage sale selling bolts of fabric $2 a BOLT! She would pick me up in a few minutes...

In my deer quilt post I told how I stayed up late and mopped, washed hair, etc. Well, I turned on the irons and jumped in some clothes, slapped some make-up on (just lipstick-lol) and had my hair done before she got here. When you say fabric sale, it doesn't take me long!!-lol-lol
I told her that I would pick up what I liked or wanted and for her to do the same, but she could have any or all I picked up, because I'm not hurting for fabric.
The lady had another lady helping her and when we got there we told her helper we would take it all. She said the lady had someone coming already and just to get what we wanted in the meantime.(???-my daughter mumbled it should be first come, first served, it's a garage sale) anyway, I want to show you our purchases.

1st pic-yards and yards-some full bolts
2-yardage
3-Coke cola panel
4- 2 yards of barn/truck/tractor material I plan to use with a panel
5-Peltex ultra firm fusible stabilizer 2 1/2 yards-shows regular price $5.97 a yard
6-a new blue baby quilt 40 x 47 i have to finish sewing binding on-she has part on and pins still in where unfinished
7- a 53 x 80 new quilt she had finished and
8-showing same quilt on top of queen size bed

I bought all this for $51.00 !!!....and here is my daughters buys for $23.

9- Six hand saws, 3 bolts of all kinds of stabilizers, bolts of fabric, yardages, some kind of camouflage burlap for guys hunting and a 6 1/2 foot pre-lit Christmas tree=$23
10-friend Kathy went after us and got all this for $20
4 new baby quilts, 2 outer quilts finished 2 in between unfinished and yardages including some embroidered batik-she had prices of $15 each on the baby quilts but must have felt good after Marsha and I left bc she gave Kathy ALL this for $20.
I told my daughter I could not buy the fabric, batting and backing for $20 for my gray/yellow quilt so I am pleased as a cat that just finished a bowl of milk!-lol
I hope you liked 'shopping' with me and have a great day, my friends-Toogie

Just when I was cleaning last night I thought, I need to share some of this with my sister next times she comes. She doesn't keep much on hand and doesn't sew nearly as much but when she makes something she has to go out and buy... not too cheap that wa

What a wonderful find! To be truthful, I believe that you are so very generous and kind in all your walks through life that these come to you as blessings for your generosity and love... I can't wait to see what you do with all of this!

I am blessed for sure. I just counted 81 yards of fabric! So all that and a panel, plus 2 finished quilts for $51. I just text my daughter my yards and we both think we did great!

I agree with Kim. You deserve every bit of that bargain. Count your blessings.

Wowzer! Have fun with it all! Is that another panel second to the right? This all would go so well with my collection. Lol! I have a thing for muddled browns.

mottled browns. But I suppose muddied would do as well.

I'm not sure which picture you're looking at but there was only one panel, the Coca Cola panel. I do have two browns which is great because I have at least one more deer quilt to make. My daughter wants the window look but not necessarily the bricks.

I do like the cola panel, I was looking at the the piece with the rainbow.

That is the front of a quilt Kathy bought. The flip side was done in a chenille technique.

I look forward to sewing regularly again, but it won't be until after August. I keep Rylan all the way up until my next trip which will be the end of July and into August. Then I will have to start sewing for another trip in November.

Wow is all I can say as well. I never seem to come across deals like that. I did once have a friend bring several large garbage bags of fabric to me. It was fun picking what I wanted and then passing the rest on to another friend who does charity quilts. Enjoy your haul. Hugs. Nan W

With all I have been given and with all my good deals, my room is starting to be too small....again. I sew every chance I get, but lately not everyday like I would like to. When my daughter called and told me I thought it was $2 a yard and when she said $2 a bolt, I bolted!-lol

I want to be your neighbor! What a deal you both got and I say kudos to both of you. You do so much to help people, I'm delighted your room is getting too small...again. Maybe Rylan can help you come up with ideas to use up some of the fabric.
