I have not done any cross stitch for many, many years. As DH says, how many cross stitch pictures can we have? Was clearing out a cupboard Some weeks ago and came across several kits that I still had. Wondering what I had let myself in for I decided to start one. I just couldn’t put it down it was so addictive.
Have just finished it and now wait for someone to give it to.
DH and I differ on what the animal is in the middle. DH says it is a bear and I say it has to be a lion to go with the other African animals in the ark. What do you think?

I can see why your husband would think it is a bear. I am voting for a lion. Whichever.......you did a fantastic job. Maybe you inspired me to dig up some x-stitch UFO's. I just gave my granddaughter some of the kits I still had. Hope she will find the joy in that craft.

Years ago I realized I had 20 xstitches started. So, I made a new plan. First, I couldn't start any new samplers. I took the one that was closest to finished and finished it, then the next closest to finished, etc. In about 6 months, I had things turned back to right. After that, 2-3 projects at a time, maximum.

My hubby says the same thing. He has forbidden me to do another picture, saying there is no wall space left to hang another picture. hehe So keep doing table runners and pillow cases and whatever kits I still have in my cabinet. Be proud of this picture and all of your hard work. I know someone will fall in love with it.

Beautiful. I love cross stitch but since I discover that I can create them in the embroidery software I do it there and can stitch them on anything. Let the machine do the work for you and use it more than one time.

I can see how the face and ears, might look like a bear, but with that magnificent mane, it has to be a lion. Which ever, it is a lovely cross stitch design!
