Life seems to be throwing lots of curve balls lately. But on the upside, My Mom's cancer seems to be stable and we don't have to go back for 4 months. She'll never be rid of it, but as it is very slow growing, she may never need any further treatment. I am finally starting to do better after surgery earlier this year. Lots of email and posts to catch up on though. The kids we are raising, have regressed a little but their therapist thought that would happen when their Mother was released from prison. Which she has gotten out and we are all thrilled. She is having a little trouble of adjusting but is gradually easing into normal life. She has turned her life around and is now a beautiful young woman both on the inside as well as the outside. We are hoping to get her into counseling soon to deal with all the abuse that her ex. put her through, No one liked her ex from the beginning and we prayed daily that her eyes would be opened to what type of person he was. God answered our prayers, but not the way we thought. He knew best, because even with her ex in prison, he still had a hold on her. It took her going to prison to open her eyes to how manipulative and controlling he is. I still remember the phone call I got from her in prison telling me she had just watched a program about abused women and had realized that they were talking about her situation. She has a long road ahead but she is strong and we will be there to help. We are having a welcome home party on Saturday for her. Our church has been collecting gift cards and other items for her to help start over as she has nothing but the clothes they gave her at the prison. Hope everyone is well and am hoping to catch up on what has been happening.
