I have been sewing these over the past few weeks. They are shopping bags for my 7 lady friends for my Christmas lunch. These are very strong because they are made from shade cloth and boxed out for stability. I’ve added chevron stripe and multi spotted fabric for interest.
They are fiddly and take between 2-3 hours to cut, sew and finish off. Love Chris

Well done Marian. I bought 5 metres and have stacks left and as our b....y Kookaburra has returned and started bashing our back windows I said to Trevor maybe I could use some of it to try and cover up the back deck area!!!! Good luck with yours. Love Chris

Your bags are so colorful, beautiful, well made, and useful! I like the colorful touch to the handles as well as the base of the bag. What is shade cloth--is it sturdy like denim, and difficult to sew on a regular sewing machine?

Hi Sue and a big welcome from me from down-under. Shade cloth is like the mesh that is on sliding security doors to stop bugs, flies etc. from coming indoors. It's very pliable and strong. Where are you from because if you are Australian you can buy it from Bunnings. Love Chris
P.S. Not difficult at all to sew on, I used a 14 needle.
