Having a little boast. My daughter does not normally paint flowers but decided to give it a go.

This is a protea, a South African flower. I just love this picture.

Thank you Vicki. Charlotte was one of many in her company who were retrenched at the end of last year. This of course has given her the opportunity to do the two things she loves. Painting and pottery. She has now had two exhibitions and done well selling her work.
I hope she keeps this one

I can see why she is able to sell them, she has mastered her trade!

I stitched one of these out and thought it was a flower someone imagined!

They are indigenous to South Africa but I see that Chris has them also in Australia. There are many, many varieties. This one is the King protea

We have a lot of these down-under as they have similar growing conditions to South Africa. She has captured the essence of this flower and done a wonderful job Sarah, love Chris

I am not too keen on proteas myself but this picture I love. Looking forward to seeing it in the β€˜flesh’ when we visit in August

Oh how beautiful. If I could ask God for one talent that I don't have, it would be singing (I'm terrible) but if God says no to that one, I'd love to be able to draw and paint.

You have a very talented daughter. I have trouble with paint by numbers, so I am always in awe of people that can produce their vision on canvas. I love her picture

I can sew but I cannot draw or paint to save my life. My mother was quite good as well. All I paint is furniture 😁

Charlotte's painting is amazing! I love it too Sarah and can see why you are so proud. She has great talent. Not everyone who paints has the ability to capture all the reflections, the scales of the leaves compared to the flower, etc. If she does sell it, I hope she gets plenty! If not, maybe you could hang it in your house, 'for safe keeping'-wink, wink

I have a feeling she may keep this one. I have already hinted that I will make room for it and look after it. Thank you for your comment. Hope the family are well
