I did a rough estimate by laying them out on his doona. I'd say about 20-25 blocks all up if I do them as a chequerboard layout with printed fabric. I don't think I need to go into detail about what type of prints we are talking about. so I suppose I am about three fifths of the way there. Unfortunately the machine has to go to the shop, but hopefully he can do a quick adjustment for me rather than leaving it behind for a bit. I have fantastic people at the local machine shop so I am lucky in that regard. Daniel chomps at the bit more to do the actual stitching out than finishing the quilt. He loves it, I think he and Eric could be firm friends if Daniel was a bit older.

Hmmmm.....good thinking Maggie, I never thought of this. I could stay in bed too then??????
