If you bought designs from sites like Urban threads and Embroidery library the designs will still be available in 'my orders'. Sorry to hear of your problems and may I suggest that you keep all the new designs that you buy in more than one place. Sorry I cannot think of anywhere with free butterfly designs as I stopped collecting freebies ages ago.

Sometimes googling can help with a search.

If you go to the bottom of the first page and click on 'Premium Designs club' there is a free butterfly at the bottom of that page.
There is also one at the Silver Threads Club so click that also on the first page.

Tavernmaker has some FSL butterflies and lots of other FSL designs....Please make sure to read their terms of use....

I try to copy all my embroidery files every month or so onto a external hard drive.At the beginning of every year I copy all my embroidery files onto a DVD.
I have had usb drives ,computer & external hard drives over the years ,die on me.This way I don't loose everything.

What I did when this happened to me was to visit every site in my favourites list and downloaded everything from my order history. Almost every site has this function. Although a number of sites no longer exist.
You could even log into Oregon Patchworks and go to free samples their freebies go back for years.
