Morning Cuties, I’ve not been idle - just busy with life events!!
It’s school holidays here in Australia and I’ve been sewing our 4 granddaughters their Christmas dresses. Each girl wanted a different colour! I’ve still to make the last one in Purple
Pink one is being finished over the next couple of days. Pink is for Jasana (12 years old), Purple (for Aqualina - 9 years old) will be same as the blue one which is Ophelie’s who is also 9. The yellow one is for Delphi - the youngest who will be 6 on 17th October. Love Chris
UPDATE: I’ve finished Aqualina’s Purple one and added a bias strip onto Jasana’s dress. I’ll just have to adjust the straps and maybe do buttonholes and buttons.
Nice selection of colours.
Talk about a pain making Jasana's though She is so slim and should be a size 12 but because she is tall, I had to make a 14, then her top had to be altered.
I HATE ALTERING PATTERNS!
Anyway, I cut the underskirt armholes and then of course had to reshape the facings and because that little overblouse top was also too big I had to reshape those!!! Aaaaggghhhh! It looks fabulous now and I'm really happy with it.
I'll start Aqualina's tomorrow. As you know it's the long weekend here and on Tuesday I've got Jury duty in the Newcastle Court House in Hunter Street. I want to get as much sewing done over the weekend as possible. Love Chris
