Dear Cuties, finaly finished the larger quilt for my doughter. I bought the print-fabric for my older doughter. But when it arrived, I noticed the colurs matched the left over strips from two jelly rolls. The other fabrics are from my stash. In total I needed 8 strips of each colour for the Rail Fence. Finaly done, yay

Awesome work. It's the simple blue bands that make the quilt.

Lovely quilt, I know your daughter will just love, too. I just saw a fence rail on point, I would like to try. Can't make anything extra until after christmas, tho. Is this a christmas present? I recently finished my first (and hopefully my last-lol) King quilt for christmas. I have a queen and king made and about 4 (60 x80) left to make and quilt. I do have one other top done, tho.

Yes, for x-mas. The border is more turquoise or aqua. As a farmers dougther it had to be a rail-fence pattern. The greys represent the soil, wet and dry, the floral print the crops, the blue the water we all need, the white is the light. When the print arrived and I noticed the same gray as the strips I had and layed them on the fabric, and it just jumped on me. I had no pattern, just sewed the strips togeather, cut the blocks and sewed them togeather again.

Great job. It always amazes me how different they can look by the color choices one makes. Love yours.
