Hi

I live in the UK
I have recently purchased a husqvarna 600 e machine complete with dongle H Class 600 e.
However after several days of my husbands time as a computer technician he has advised me that the dongle files are corrupted and therefore is unusable.
My Question is , What are my options for getting the embroidery function capability working. I ( my husband) have researched and tried different versions of windows on our pc and tried complimentary free software.
Question 2 can the usb cable direct link from machine to pc be used as an alternative to the H class dongle? And , would upgrading and paying for a upgrade package ie 5 D or 6D work

Help appreciated.

I have bought a combo sewing-embroidery machine Husqvarna Viking ten years ago and a software (4D Embroidery Extra) for editing and creating layouts of the designs I liked to stitch out. The dongle wasn't to be inserted into the machine, but it was to be inserted in the USB port of my computer for the software to be recognized and for registering my machine online when my computer was connected with the Husqvarna website over the Internet. I don't know what the dongle H Class 600 e means. Maybe that it isn't a dongle you are talking about. You may have also received a USB memory stick which is to be used for saving the embroidery files from your computer and is to be inserted into the machine in order to stitch them out. As you are talking about upgrading the software to 5D or 6D (if they are still available), check what is your computer's operating system. If it's Windows 10, it may not recognize your dongle at all. 4D, 5D, 6D are old softwares and the dongle is old too.

By the way: you don't have to buy 5D or 6D or a more current and expensive software which requires a dongle. The embroidery machine "doesn't care" which software you use. I'm using Embird which isn't expensive and doesn't require any dongle. :-) Also: welcome to Cute Embroidery!

Hi Julie, Welcome to this great site. I hope Meg (meganne) sees this post as she knows all about software for embroidery machines. There are a couple of ladies on here who know all about it as well.
I myself have a Husqvarna and I purchased the new Premier Plus 2 back in January and no doubt it will be supercededsoon. I began with 2D back when I first purchased an Husqvarna embroidery machine and as I said it's now Premier plus 2.
I've heard a lot of people say they use Wilcom as a free embroidery programme. I do hope someone can come along who knows more than I do to help you. Love Chris, Newcastle, Australia

Julie I do want to welcome you to the Cute community. Hopefully you will get the issues with your machine solved. I am no help since my machines have always been Brother or Baby Lock but did not want to miss the opportunity to welcome you.

Hi and welcome from the UK. Sorry you are having problems. Where did you buy your machine, dealer or a private sale? I am currently away from home but I will check where Husquvarna is based in the UK.

According to the Husqvarna website the machine comes with software and designs are transferred using a USB cable connecting the machine and your computer.
