Hi Cuties, we all had a wonderful day at my annual Christmas lunch. The weather was very warm, so I had the air conditioners on all day.
The food was lovely. We had Prawn, Avocado and Mango salad, roasted vegetables, Pasta and egg, Roast Chicken and Turkey and Fried Rice. Chris, the wife of my former boss bought a beautiful bottle of Croser sparkling wine. The majority of the ladies left around 3.30, my friend Sue had to leave at 2.30 as she had a 2 hour drive to get back home and Meg was the last to leave about 5.00pm. Trevor got home about 4.40 and had a chat with Meg and I left just after Meg left for my Choir practice for tomorrow's Christmas Carol service at our Redhead church. We have the Bishop of Newcastle attending and the Mayor of Lake Macquarie opening up our new community garden.
I've attached a couple of pictures of Mum and I and the ladies. Love Chris

"Smoke from the fires was drifting across to New Zealand and affecting communities there, NSW Rural Fire Service commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said today. There are currently more than 100 fires burning with more than 70 un-contained".

My hair is my nemesis as it makes me too hot wearing it down, as much as I try to, it also looks an unruly mess. π€£
Merry Christmas xxxxx
It is wonderful sharing this special time with you and your beautiful friends.
The food was scrumptious, as it always is, the Christmas setting a pure delight to my inner child, the wonderful gifts you made us all, were amazing but beyond all that, the love and friendship between everyone was the most heartwarming and generous, and I feel so truly blessed to be a part of this.
Ray said to please pass on his thanks to Stasia, for sending home some of her delicious fried rice and to Chris for her equally delicious baked vegetables.
I really enjoyed every morsel, the two dishes, (already mentioned), the prawns and mango, (without Coriander π₯° ππ»), the potato bake π, the curried egg and cherries π, the cold chicken, the delicious pudding and (runny πππ custard π), even my own Chicken pasta salad, (Ray was so glad there was plenty left over π€£π€£). ( I apologise if I missed any).
These days will be treasured memories for a very long time.
Thank you Chris, you are one very special lady and a beautiful friend.

(I hope to see you in the new year. I've written you a PM explaining why I can't get down sooner. Plus we're looking after John and Deirdre's place for 2 weeks just after Christmas)
