It is lovely... I have never had anyone quilt one of my quilts before...although lots of people choose that option...

How about that quilt top maker? Wow, this is so awesome, loving the subtle colors and the intricate design patterns in the quilt. You are amazing.

Oh I don't know how many hours, each of the strips in the block is different then repeated for each block, the same for the dark except for the shams they are different than the rest of the quilt.

Your piecing is very nice, as always, and your quilter did an amazing job. I'm sure she charged you an amazing price too! (wink-wink) Before I bought my sit down, I contacted Kreations by Kara, as she was offering quilting edge to edge for .01 a square inch. When I explained what I wanted it was then .03 a sq inch. Would have cost me a little under $300. plus shipping for that one quilt. It was more or less following my blocks, nothing fancy. I still have to quilt that quilt, but I bought my used machine then. I knew I want to make all my kids/grands a quilt and I could soon pay for a used one. I really think could do more fancy stitching like yours above, if I had a stand up long arm, moving the machine, instead of the quilt. However sadly, I don't have the funds for one, nor the room for one. Will this be a quilt for you or some of your family?

She has a on a long arm quilting machine she does this for a living, very good at it, It was costly. but it may be the last I make, I have several most of them I hand quilted. It is for me I have given my children (a son and daughter both quilts) I wish the quilting showed up better on the Dark brown part of the sham it looks like one of our embroidery designs simply beautiful.
