Ok dear cuties....went to the plastic surgeon today. I do indeed need more surgery......I have internal and external nasal valve collapse on both sides, with the right side being worse. He will submit all this to insurance and when he gets coverage info back from them they will schedule my surgery....he wants to put it out 2-3 months to give the nose more time to heal from the November surgery, so at least I know what is wrong and that it can be fixed. He says insurance should cover it as this is a functional issue and no cosmetic.....cross our fingers and toes! 🙀

We all knew you didn't need anything cosmetic! I despise the whole insurance -doctor-hospital process and wish you Godspeed as they proceed! Fingers crossed, prayers logged in.

I feel the same way....if the doctor feels something is necessary then we should be able to proceed!

Prayers for you. It is so sad that we have to submit to the insurance company for procedures that are needed. Happy healing and onto the next adventure.

Wow that is not good news. Functional meaning ability to breathe? Yes I would say that is important. Prayers for you. Big hugs too!

Sounds like this doctor knows what he is doing!! It is a good thing to know what is wrong - it is too bad we have to go through insurance (which we pay for each month) to know if we are covered. Continued prayers for you and your healing and that insurance covers this procedure! Hugs to you, Laura

Thank you so much, Laura......the doc thinks the only issue may be because this is so close to the last surgery that they may want to wait before they cover it....to that I say, pay for my breathe right strips and I'll wait...LOL

Okay, here comes another hoop - JUMP! Breathing is so overrated. What, you can't live without it? Well, maybe we'll cover it.
Seriously though, praying this all gets settled soon and you can breathe again.

Vicky, Im sorry you are having to jump through those hoops! (Funny, embroidery hoops aren't bad!). I had to jump through about 7 I think for one surgery that didn't help much. Keep hanging in there and you know the time will go past fast! Just think there will be a day coming soon where you can blow your nose without any problems! Hugs, Jan

Yes, it sure sucks! Doc says he wants me to heal a bit more too before this next one....I want to buy stock in the breathe right company as I use one each day now in order to breathe through my nose.....

Vicky, this has nothing to do with noses or surgeries. What were the names of the kitties of your peanut butter litter? I remember Jiffy and Skippy....
