Hi Cuties! I finally got a design embroidered! Yea!
I have been making doll clothes for my grand daughter's new dolls (and old ones-lol) she got for Christmas. This is a Sue Box design simply called ARose. It was a free design in 2018, I believe. My regret is I didn't have the same color fabric (I made the piping) and threads (I used in the design). The design stitched beautifully, as you can see in the close-up. I will post more in Sewing, if you have the time to look.

I'm lucky, too. A lady from church gave me this fabric. It was leftover from her grand daughter's bedroom decor. Thanks Laura

What a great designer outfit. The rose is beautiful but then so is the outfit. My granddaughter tucked her dolls away and she's only 12 1/2 y/o so I decided no more doll clothes. She and I both gave my great grands clothes for the dolls they got for Christmas. I just deleted all my computer patterns. Yea for you for still feeling like making them. It is beautiful!

Oh it almost made me sick when I read you deleted your doll patterns. I save so many on my pc, then load them on a USB stick, before I delete on the pc. I hoard them like I do fabric-lol-Thanks
I didn't think to save them to a usb but then I thought to myself at the time, I don't need them, I won't make any more. I just showed a friend at sew club how to make a doll skirt with and without border at bottom using just a rectangle of fabric and no pattern. Next month I told her I'd show her how to sew a pr. of pants on recycled denim--no pattern. I gave her a store doll that is 18 inch that I had in sewing room but decided I didn't need her anymore--My 12 y/o granddaughter packed up her AG dolls--my great girls were given dolls for Christmas but I don't plan on making clothes for them. Between 12 y/o and me, we gave them plenty of clothes to put on and take off.

Beautiful dress and embroidery. The embroidered design goes so well with the fabric. I LOVE it! Brings back memories of playing with my doll that was that size decades ago. What a treasure you've given your granddaughter.

The design ended up being perfect for the fabric and dress. It is such a nice design given in her newsletter, too. Thanks!

What a wonderful dress! You'll regret not having those patterns when your great grand daughter comes along!

No regrets here 'cause I keep my patterns and I have a great-grand daughter, although she's not one year yet.
