AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm really peeved!!!! I've got 2 leaves to go on another Altar frontal (I'm on the first panel) and the machine is stopping every 20-30 stitches saying "check and rethread the upper thread" AND IT IS threaded properly.
I'm going to have to persevere to finish by pressing start after every stop. GGRRR! Not happy Jan! (it's a saying from an old Aussie commercial).
Of course I'm going to have to take the machine into Zig Zag sewing shop (where I bought the Brother Quattro from) and get it checked out now and therefore can't finish it off on the Brother. I'll get my Husqvarna out tomorrow and do the second and third panels to finish it off. Thanks for letting me have a rant and rave about it, sorry. Love Chris

Was going to put some good Anglo Saxon words but I won’t. What a nuisance. Is it the green thread causing the problem? Will think a bit more and add further if I have ideas.

Hi Caroline, I was being polite when I said ''peeved"!!!! No this is another green which sews much better - it's a Robison Anton thread. I think it's just overworked and needs some form of adjusting where the thread is going through the mechanism and of course I can't get the machine front off to have a look. Love Chris
Sometimes I hold the thread to give tension so it goes though my fingers when similar problems occur

I open up the front a lot, but really I don't think that is every the problem. Usually, it's my needle that is dull or bent, or there is some thread caught below. But, I don't know about this problem. grrrrrrr

That's exactly how I feel! You do everything you need to do, and NOTHING helps. Sometimes I turn my machine off and then it seems to reset itself. Right now mine is hanging up the thread like it is getting caught underneath. The needle plate plate has the hole resting against the needle!

These machines don't have enough variety in their messages. When my Brother would tell me this it meant there was a barest wisp of a filament somewhere in the track, perhaps wrapped to the back. I'm remembering all the broken threads you had earlier. Get your screwdriver, your magnifier, your flashlight, and lots of patience.

I can’t get into the threader, but have taken apart the bobbin and casing - nothing there. At least the thread is not breaking. Love Chris

For a case like this I don't know any words my mother would not have told me "wash your mouth". How awful! I bet you have tried all the sensible things to try and get any bits of thread dislodged. I hope your trusted old Husqvarna behaves much better!

Go to your menu and turn your thread sensor off. You will have to do that after each color change. When you are finished with your project, turn your machine off and then back on. See if it persists. Also clean out the bobbin area real good.

Done all that - the embroidery thread is not the problem - it’s the threading of the machine - something is definitely off!! Love Cu

Hi Angie, I've got the Husqvarna Ruby Royale going along beautifully and no problems at all. I'll have to take the Brother in for a service on Friday and as I've got the Husqvarna it won't matter how long it takes for the Brother to get done! Yeah!!! Love Chris

Have you tried threading the machine with non-waxed dental floss? Pull the floss through and then thread your machine again.

Hi rescuer, yes, I've done all that. I just think it's a timing issue within the machine! Mind you it's had millions of stitches done over the past 3-4 months! Love Chris

I noticed Epic does that if it gets even warm i can only sew about 2 things then it needs a rest .I am not impressed with Epic #1

That's a bummer Carolyn. It's a problem with the top of the line sewing machines. Meg bought the top of the line Husqvarna a few years ago and she's had nothing but trouble with it. Of course the new Epic is now the top of the line. Love Chris

Check to make sure there isn't thread caught in the top tension...even a little bit will cause this.

My Brother gives the same message (my Babylock also) now and then. I've found that it is the bobbin thread that has slipped from its path..probably cut too close? Anyway, I remove bobbin and " re- path it". Sometimes I just change the bobbin (FYI ..I am always using pre-wounds when it happens). So far that has fixed my machine's message.

Chris, I totally understand your frustration. Just when you need it the most too. Willie insisted I have another machine for back up when my Quattro is in the shop. We found a demo there at the shop that had zero stitches on it. WE got 10% off and they were also having a sale that gave us another 10%. So, it's a 9600 that sure seems to me like a replacement for the ULTs around 2003. It stitches great, with longer feet. So now I have a backup but I'm finding I'm using it more than the Quattro. What is in the machine is beautiful!

Chris clean out the race and change the Needle It might solve the Problem also check the back of your Embroideryfoot I .just had to replace mine The Pin at the Back [ with the Spring on it ] was loose and the Foot rubbed on the Needle I hope you get the Problem solved Love Ursula
