Beautiful quilt. Well you can have the stripes going up and down or left to right. Change it daily if you want as it is square. Well done to you both. Love the label Kim did for you. Hugs to you both

Well, Grammie, you and Savannah have made a lovely heirloom. I hope she treasures this forever. I was thinking that is a pretty hefty price the quilter charged you but read where she is the only one around that does it. You're right--they can charge what they want. No competition. Kim did a fab job on your label also. I like stripes vertically also--my 2 cents worth.

It is so good that y'all worked on this together. Memories last forever! Quilting is expensive for sure and then if you want it done a certain way, they call it custom and up the price. Most like to use programmed designs not free hand anything or work with rulers takes longer, even though may not be stitched as much. Takes a lot of thread too. A business quoted me $350 for a queen. I wasn't wanting any fancy stitching, just more following the block design. I will do it myself one day. Good job Savannah and Gramma Lobsinger!!!

I wanted to ask. It looks like the quilter did stippling or meandering but then I see what looks like hearts. How did she quilt it?
