This little cutie is why I have been absent for the past few months. She was born at 28 weeks. 2 lbs 5 oz. (1040 GM's). She started showing signs of distress after mom had been in hospital for 28 days with severe asthma ( in ICU for 20 days) and severe preeclampsia. This past Sunday, Charlotte turned 3 weeks and has gained 1 pound since birth. She is doing well and only requires CPAP to help with breathing. My neice, who I consider my daughter is not doing so well. She has not allowed herself to heal from the surgery and hospitalization. Up until this week, I would go to hospital so Becky could go home to rest and spend time with her other kids. But I am no longer allowed in hospital, so Becky feels she has to spend more time with Charlotte. I can understand limiting visitors in hospital, but single parents should be allowed a person to swap out with, just as two parent families are allowed to do. The hospital is not doing much to support her at all. Please keep her in your prayers, as I am afraid she will burn out. Thank you.

Firstly Congratulations on the birth of little Charlotte, hopefully the hospital can change it's view on additional support people for her it's not like all the family will be passing through their doors just a nominated support person. Will keep them and you in my thoughts.
