I know there is some concern on just how useful are "Do it Yourself" face masks. I came across this report from the University of Cambridge and researchers in the Netherlands which tested home sewn masks made out of various materials, including old T-shirts and your average terrycloth kitchen tea towels.
Hope this will help you decide.
Stay well and INSIDE!

Thank you. This does help. What I got out of it is "better then nothing"

Yes, that's pretty much what I got out of it. I'm in NY - we've been holed up for weeks now. Hospital staff members are resulting to writing their names on their N95 masks and using them over and over again. That can't be good, either.
