I have a Magic Box problem. I turned on my computer the other day and it would not recognize the box any more. This computer is used only for the Magic Box and I don't go online with it or use it for anything else. I have no clue why it stopped recognizing the Box.
I cannot locate the activiation code anywhere. Does anyone know exactly where the code is/was stored in the computer? Since it is no longer supported, I can't get a new code for it. I do have another brand of box on my newer computer, so I not totally out of luck. Still, I prefer using that computer.

I got my manual out and the information should be in your software registration. Click on magic box icon or go to all programs, and open it from oesd menu choice. Hope this helps. I know that lost feeling.

The registration was done by email years and years ago...long lost on my computer.

I know nothing about the magic box but when I have had problems with my PE design not being recognised by my laptop after turning the laptop off I remove the card reader and insert into another part of my computer and usually hey presto I am up and running again. Would this work for you?

I have three computers that I could use with that magic box. None of them will now work.I actually have two boxes and neither of them will work. One is a newer model.

Check the "pins" inside the serial port (where you plug it into the computer) and look for damage to the cord.

It won't open with any of my three computers that I have loaded it on. Very annoying.
I do have an UltimateBox, but I simply prefer the Magic Box. So, can still use my old ME machine.

It is something hardware related then. I am guessing the cord might be damaged. Unless you removed the software (uninstalled it), the activation code wouldn't be the issue.
The box lights up, but the program won't open. Something must have happened in my computer that erased the activation code.
