UPDATED: Hi Cuties, I’ve decided to make my ladies a mobile phone holder for my Christmas ladies luncheon this year (along with the other things I made in January). This design is gorgeous by A Stitch A Half. It’s made in the 5x7 hoop on my Husqvarna Ruby Royale. The colour is eye popping red and green. It only takes about an hour. One down 7 to go. Love Chris
3 more done today. I was cooking and forgot a step with the yellow one and I forgot to cut the fabric back after it had the satin stitching in the top front pocket - oh! well it won’t matter too much I hope. Love Chris
2 more done this afternoon - Grey and purple. We went out early this morning and bought a new convection/microwave as mine died on Sunday during Trev’s birthday lunch.
I did these ones right as I remembered to cut the edging off the fabric before doing the satin stitch. Only one to go now.

That holder will be useful year round, but still says Christmas! I love how strong the colors are and using an all over design will add strength to the holder. Did you use a cut-a-way stabilizer?

Hi Penny, no it is sewn on 2 layers of WSS and there is batting in front and back. You need to cut the batting really close so you don't have any fuzzy bits. I use really fabulous applique scissors by Canary to trim really close. Love Chris

Fortunately most of my friends have an Iphone 6 or 7 and if they don't use it for the phone, there's plenty of other things that can be put in there. Love Chris
