Well my bit of the UK - Wales is still under lockdown but easing off is starting... My Bernina 807 which I have had for over 40 years hasbeen objecting to scrubs sewing. Today I rang my dealer to get the number on his answer phone so I could send a message, asking would they let me know please when they reopen so I could send my machine to them for some tlc please. I was amazed when the phone was answered. The dealers wife got fed up with sewing machines all over her kitchen table in different states of repair so he has returned to his own workshop. So my baby will be wrapped carefully and sent by courier next week to have a break from me, some rest and care too. One of the comments that I make here is its so important to buy from dealers so that you can get aftercare. While this machine came from a dealer it wasn't this one (I have moved home) but I have had two embroidery machines and a overlock machine from this shop over the past 20 years and my next embroidery machine will come from them.

Thanks for reading.

Congratulations on getting a real person on the phone! I hope you won't suffer too much separation anxiety while "your baby" has gone for a visit. Hope it will come back all better very soon! Take care. Hugs*, Deb

Thanks. The saddest part is that I cannot take my machine in person and see my daughter and grandchildren as they live half an hour from the dealer.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I know how you much miss them terribly - my daughter and grandchildren are in England and I'm in NY.

I am happy for both of you. You for getting your machine fixed and for your machine for getting a brake from you 😊. Here you probably could buy a new machine for the cost of shipping.

I'm so delighted you are able to get your beloved machine to the spa. It has been a hard working machine and I think you both deserve a rest and TLC. But I'm so sorry you can't visit your family. This quarantine has been so very hard on everyone for so many reasons.

Amen to all you have said. I always tell people who are asking about buying a new sewing/embroidery machine to buy from a dealer even if it costs a bit more. The help and care for the machines is worth it's weight. And we have heard of the scams of those who bought on Ebay or other online sellers. Hugs. Nan
