Mops I am unable to help but I do love those out there who expect a huge piece of work for peanuts or ‘well you enjoy sewing’ or similar. I was asked to sew zips into clothes last week as the repair shop charged too much. Personally I thought the charge was very modest. Mops good luck with this one and hope someone can help with a design that is suitable for the acquaintances requirements.

I totally understand. Did some free work for my brother and SIL and then they wanted me to do some for their whole dance club. I recommended they find a commercial service. Best wishes to you. Some folks seem to think you just ask your machine to sew a design and it magically happens. They don't realize it has to be digitized first and preferably tested too.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions. I saw some cute designs, some pretty silhouettes and some outlines. However, she wanted a lifelike diver with all the details.
I just e-mailed her the address of a commercial embroidery shop in a nearby town. I hope she can get what she wanted there.

I haven't seen a diver, but I've been in the same position too! A couple of times people will ask me to make a quilt out tshirts, old clothes, etc. for them. I tell them that I will help them make a quilt after I tell them what they have to do first at home get the fabric ready to be cut up...washed, taken apart, ironed, etc. I never hear back from them.

I get asked all the time to make things for people, but I just tell them I only sew for my family and very close friends. I'm so thankful I do not digitise. I've seen what Meg does and it's so time consuming. Love Chris
