During the last five months I have not done much as far as embroidery is concerned. Years ago (Feb 1984) I knitted jumpers for both my daughters with their names on the back. See pict 2.
Last week the younger daughter reminded me of it and asked if I could digitize my granddaughter's name - which I did and tested. Then sent her the file and Esther added the sail numbers (using my HV-3D software which I gave her with my old Designer1 when I bought a new machine) and she stitched it out.
Doesn't it look jolly.
Picture was taken at the Stavanger yacht club. She could not sail as her leg was in plaster till yesterday. And Esther has had quite a number of requests so I have about half an alphabet ready ...
Ruth is only a four letter name, the requests so far are five each. So i wonder what we'll do for size. This fitted a 240 x 150 mm hoop. Much wider would not be suitable for those rather small backs, although she has a 360 x 150 hoop as well.
My elder daughter had me do our telephone number (without the areal code) on her right arm. They are quite easy to knit except the ones with circles on them.
In the picture you can see that the R T and H from 'Ruth' are in 'Esther' as well.
Esther does an awful lot of sewing but hardly any embroidery lately. But I think she'll be busy shortly.
