Paris here we say that it is the most beautiful avenue in the world but I think that it is not true. It is the celebration of the anniversary of the French revolution of 1789 (no more King) and they read the declaration of the right of the man. (I think that I have badly translate all that)

Enjoy the celebrations. There is a little town not far from here called Franschhoek and they have a lot of French history, so they celebrated Bastille Day on Saturday. *4U

Oh Claude - I have been watching the Tour de France and have thought about your on a number of occasions - wondering if you were in the crowd - the "Champs-Elysées" is where the Tour ends and I would have loved to celebrate with you on this anniversary - how wonderful that you were there to take part in it. Enjoy your feast.
