Good morning Cuties, I would like some advice. My husband says I never listen to advice but do my own thing anyway.

As some of you know, I am busy with a X stitch. The pattern has a X stitch border in a light tan, which I do not like.

I would like to go with grey. The frame will be a silver colour. I have put some grey threads around and numbered them. Please let me know what you think.

The photo has unfortunately come out darker, even with a light on it. It might help to enlarge the picture. Thank you all.

I think I would prefer color 5 or 6 ( or perhaps 4) when the frame will be in silver color. I think the lighter colors 1,2 and 3 will have too little contrast with the silver frame. But that's my opinion, perhaps others would have a different one....

Thank you Gerry. I will still have a cardboard trim within the frame - I do not know what shade or colour at this stage.

I would go for 1 or 3. Maybe your husband is right :)

Hi Sarah, I'm with Gerry, I'd go for the darker thread number 5. If you are having a silver frame you need a dark contrast against it. Good luck with whatever you choose. Love Chris

I agree, go with the darker grays. I think the lighter shade might blend in a bit too much with the colors already being used in the picture. It is a beautiful picture.

I also think that the lighter colors would blend in too much. Number 5 is my favorite. Whatever you choose it will be awesome.

I am so pleased that I asked you ladies. Number 5 is the one I like best as well. It has a slight bluish tinge which will go well. Thank you all for your time.
