My daughter and family have just come home after a short break in a game reserve, only 2 hours away from where they live.

She has sent me many photographs. I thought you may like to see these.

Magnificent photographs of these majestic animals. Look how close they got to the Lion. Thanks for sharing them Sarah. I watch the BBC Earth programmes every night and love watching the animals. Love Chris

Wonderful photos. To those of us who don't live there, these seem like something out of a fairy tale or imagined world.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures with us. My husband and I got to visit friends in Kenya many years ago and I loved seeing the animals in their natural habitat. what wonderful memories to cherish!

I lived in Kenya fort three years and it was there that I saw my first African animals. I will never forget it. My eldest daughter was born in Nairobi.

Oh Sarah, what gorgeous pictures! I love seeing them in natural surroundings. I love all the colors of the woods, bush, whatever y’all call the landscape. I believe any of these photos would be beautiful digitally printed for quilt panels or just enlarged to frame. How cute would the giraffe be hung in a baby’s room! Love them, not something we see here, so thanks for sharing.

It is late winter in South Africa at the moment which is good time to see animals. The grass is dry and not so much vegetation.
