What a great start on Christmas! I can't quite figure out what technique you used for the word. Applique of sorts?

Pennyhal2: Thank you for your comment, I used applique stitch to stitch it down. Same stitch on the snowman.

Wow! I sure can't see the stitches which made me wonder about it.
Pennyhal2: It is a straight stitch that does a stitch into the fabric. Hope that helps. LLLLLLLLLL looks like this...
