Well, here is my first September challenge project. Not happy with the turnout. I will wash and probably keep. Any ideas why it stitched out like missing stitches? Also is this design a single or is it part of a pack? Hugs and flowers to all, Suzanna

I think it is a single design. I have never had a design from Cute that did not stitch out perfectly, so I have no clue what could have caused the missed stitches. If I recall it correctly that once i had a problem like this(not with a any of Miss Veronikas designs) I had to change the needle.
Love the design you picked. It still looks good.

I used a 75/11 needle. Because it is a dense design I will try a size 90 and maybe use a heavier stabilizer. Thanks for the information.

Thanks Chris, I know I am critical of my work. Always wanting perfect, maybe a bit OCD.

Great Fall towel, Suzanna...I think your "missed stitches" have more to do with the towel than the digitized design...The angle of the stitches is directly in line with the cross grain of your towel...any give in the towel when stitching could cause that small gap line...both are going in the same horizontal direction...

Thanks for the information. I am going to try it on a no nap fabric.

I think its cute and the lines give it character. After all, most pumpkins aren't perfectly smooth.

You are right, that makes me feel better about the design. Thank you for your comment.

Looks good to me! Sometimes "up close" visuals lets you see things that are not out of place and look odd. When whou look at the whole design, they blend in and give texture to the design. I notice this especially when I work on towels. If you don't like it, you can send it to me!

LOL Actually looking at the towel it is really not that bad. When I do another I may change the colars a bit to show more texture. Thanks and have a great day.

Thanks for taking part in the September challenge. I like the design that you have used. Its interesting that often we see something that others dont. I am often very hard on myself but my sewing friend says I am seeing something not there. Happens in reverse with her work. I see no issues with your great work or the lovely design used

Why is it that we all see faults in our work? The finished design looks great. I think that it may be something to do with the topping. It looks as if it is pulling .

Not sure, I am going to do another to see what happens. I know I always find the faults. I need to work on my negitive side.

I think we have all had things unexplained happen to our embroideries and wonder why. I like Kim's explanation and possibly stitches slid to one side or other of the grain since each, the threads and the towel has same directional path. But, I struggle sometimes with 'did I have enough stabilizer behind something' then you put too much and everything feels like cardboard---not good for a towel. Funny how my things are always gifts and I do nothing for myself. Anyways, I love this design and your overall finish looks great to me.
