Hello Cuties! I have two good news to tell you.
First, my sister that was so sick with coronavirus is out of hospital and back in her nursing home, after almost 2 months. She sounds so much better even though she has COPD.
Secondly, Ashley & Grayson got to visit with Avery, with restrictions. Last week the facility had scheduled time for them to go for the first visit in 6 months! (Ashley has had a rough time with this) anyway, when they went at 3 pm Avery was sound asleep and would not wake up😳
They rescheduled them for this week and boy was Avery excited! You can see for yourselves in this picture. My DH, Nora, Gus and I FaceTimed with her while they were visiting and this picture was taken during that time.
Restrictions were meeting with Avery and one personnel in a large room, wearing mask, no closer than 6-8 feet so no hugging😩 or kissing. I know it must have
been hard for Ashley To keep her hands off but I know too how glad she was to see her.
I have been busy cutting fabric into quilting precuts. Remember all that fabric passed onto me when a couple quilters died? Well I am cutting it up into jelly rolls, layer cakes, charms, etc. I thought it may save space and what I don’t want I’m sending on to someone else. Thought I needed to clean out some space, but right now just seems like I have a mess. Some of its plain colors and perms press which I don’t use in my quilts, have you?
Well, here’s our Cutie!
Have a great day! ❤️ Toogie
You sound busy as usual - and my craft room always is in need of some organizing! Thanks for sharing the picture of our Avery!!! Hugs, Laura
Hurray on hearing your sister has been able to go back to her familiar surroundings. Now I pray she is able to regain her strength.
Your fingers are always busy. What a lot of work, but once done, it will be pretty to see the colorful groupings.
You should have heard all the screaming trying to talk to Avery! No reason she was laughing with everybody talking at once and Gus & Nora each trying to speak louder than the other. I was laughing myself even though nearly deafened from Gus’s repeated ‘ Hey AV’ 🤣
She is a twin born at 26 weeks gestation, at one pound , 11 ozs. Her twin Isabella lived 19 days weighing 1 pound, 2 ozs. Pregnancy was called Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. Avery has many disabilities because of this, but she is the love of our lives and is always happy.
Work is slow because having back issues, off and on.
Glad you got to see our Honorary Cutie again. She is growing so much! Who would have thought!
Yes, I know people get lonesome. My nephew finally got to go in and see my sister. It did them both good. She called me as soon as he left, to tell me. I could hear in her voice, it was like a booster shot, the visit uplifted her so much.
My daughter was trying not to get down, but she had never been apart from Avery, for more than a few days. It did us all good for them to get together.
It was good to see Avery for sure!
Thank you all for prayers for my sister. I don’t know if the fun will happen until I can actually see the cuts. It’s slow going today as it’s a lot of Mini charms (2 1/2 in squares).
