Don't feel bad, I have far to many to even think about counting and absolutely no idea how many I have used. But, the way I see it, it's like buying fabric you don't need (I do that too), you can get so much pleasure just looking at them and thinking about sewing them out that it doesn't matter, they make you happy. Besides they help keep the digitisers in business, and the world's economies going.

Don't know have many different designs I have stitch, but as far as collections go, you are in good company, pennyhal2!

Oh I am in good company, many of my designs I found on sale and could not resist them. enjoy plaining what I might do.

No clue how many I have sewn out. And I don't want to know how many I actually own - but more than a few lifetimes worth.

If I would know, I am not telling. Let's say you are not the only one. 😊😊

Penny, I think we are all in the same boat. I do have a file where I have put in every design I have used. I also know that if I have used a design and it is not to my liking or has not stitched out well I delete it.
I can spend hours just going through designs, knowing that I will probably never use them.

I actually do keep track of all the designs that I've actually stitched out. I put them in my "archive" folder. When I click on a folder's properties, it tells me how many files are in it.

When I first started out doing ME, I was advised to start keeping the designs in folders for organization. Now I keep the designs in at least two folders..."Author/Designer" order and "Topic."

As time went on, I needed to create subfolders to keep things better organized...like "Garden, Trees, Pines." As time went fuerther on, I realized that if I wanted to see Christmas Pines it was faster to save "pines" in a "Christmas Pines" folder as well.

It this a little obsessive? Yep. But it is really easier for me to find a specific design especially as over the years I really have a ton of designs. The ladies on the Martha Pullen Forum (which no longer exsist) gave me this advice and I thougt it was crazy at the time, but now I really appreciate their guidance.
