My granddaughter’s Christmas present. Finished yesterday. Still has to be washed and pressed and then sent to Johannesburg to be framed. Georgie is a wild life fanatic and in December we are all going to Addo, which is an elephant park quite near us. So very excited as have not seen any family since last Christmas.

Wonderful distribution of colors and spacing and arrangement of designs and fabulous, perfect border. A true work of art and the perfect recipient waiting! Congratulations.

I have to be honest and say that I did find the pattern in a x stitch book. I changed couple of things. Thank you so much for your lovely comment

Oh, Sarah...it is magnificent...BUT, I don't see your name/initials or the date anywhere....I think you need to add that in a corner...

I did think about it but have decided to write on the back of the picture after it is framed. It has already gone to Johannesburg

All the things Georgie loves, animals and you! I know she will keep it forever.
I have an apron that was my grandmothers although I don’t think she ever used it. I think it was a present to her and of course ‘too pretty to use’ was the mindset back then. I also have a bedspread quilt she made. It wasn’t made for me but given to me upon her death.

I have a beautiful tablecloth made by my grandmother. It is drawn thread work which you never see these days. I just love items that have been handed down
