Update-I didn’t think I would finish so soon but here it the finish- quilting nothing special. I am still not socializing so I used 2 soft blankets sewn together for my back and no batting. You might can see the quilting better from the backside. I would have rather had a red color, I would rather have had a whole piece, but these days you use what you have. So not bad for $4.40 !

I got a stash of throw blankets when a super Walmart opened for $2 each! You know how I can’t pass up a deal-😂🤣

Hello Cuties! I just finished my top with recycled blue jeans and my adding machine tape scraps. I am quilting it now. It goes to charity, CASA. Size 49 x 63. I call it an I Spy quilt because you can spy frogs, butterflies, etc Have a great day & stay well!-❤️Toogie

Me too. Ashley paid a lot for Avery a weighted blanket for Christmas last year and I could have just made her a jean one! Thanks!

The precision of seam meeting seam is perfect, only a skilled quiltmaker can do that. Only a very accomplished quilter could do that and still use the recycled resources you have to make a lovely quilt. Well done Toogie.

My red face is burning, you give me too much credit. Crafter2243 gave us the scrap on tape idea. I must say though I didn’t have a pattern and it was my first on point quilt, so I am rather thrilled😃 at the finish.

Thanks Shirley, it was Angie that shared this idea with us all about the scraps. I thought it would make it more interesting to set on point. My first try at it, too!

Commented earlier but my internet was being wonky. I love the colors; it reminds me of the colors in Amish quilts. Someone is going to be so pleased and it sound soft with the blankets.

I thought the blanket would be soft against the child while they search the top for bananas, animals, etc. I do hope the child enjoys it and takes their little mind off their situation, comforts them.
I am in no hurry to make another with the plush stuff because I had to vacuum everywhere it makes such a mess. I do like the finish and I have enough left for another. I just wish I had more juvenile prints, novelty fabrics, I guess you’d call it. I have another roll of tape but no small scraps except QOV scraps.

Brilliant quilting, I have 1 of these rolls but haven't done anything with it as yet. Maybe this will inspire me.

I hope so Marian. I was really into it because I wasn’t sure how many it would take. I marked about 38 inches off and when I had enough scraps sewn to that, I would cut the tape at the mark. I made 29 or 30 strips and only used half. Get going my friend, you’ll be surprised how fast it goes!

Very pretty. You are so prolific and fast! Love the simplicity. Casa is a wonderful organization. Some one will enjoy that quilt for sure. Hugs. Nan

I hope so Nan, would love to bring some light into their darkness. This should carry them up into adulthood because it works for me a throw. Now if they grow like my SIL or Chris’s grandson Ryke, that may be a different story 😄

Amazing work Toogie, I don't know how you find the time to do all that you do in a day. They are all awesome and someone will love it forever. Love Chris

I love it Toogie.. You are so fast. The older I get, seems the slower I get. Amanda informed me last week she only had 37 of the 50 dresses she needed for the Christmas boxes . So here I go again, so far I have finished 5 more with only 8 to go.. We are packing them on Halloween afternoon so everyone can get home before the little Goblins start knocking. Boxes ship 3rd of Nov.

The person who receives this quilt is really lucky. The colors, design, quilting and the back are excellent choices. Do you mind if I copy it? I have two soft, fuzzy blanks purchased three or four years ago to use for back of quilts that are calling to be used. Really Beautiful!!

Thank you Patti! Very good to hear from you, too.
By nothing special I meant I just quilted following the outline of the sashing and blocks. Then quilted again about 2 inches inside the blocks. The worst part was the starting and stopping, having to pill my bobbin thread to the top each time I started and stopped.
