Knowing there are cat lovers and other animals too. This is Tuppance my cat, when we moved she stayed with my daughter in the house. She stopped to say hello when I visited last week, so I took the opportunity to take a photo before she went

What a sweetheart - I love her name!

She loves the fields around the house and the plentiful rabbits, neither of which we have anymore. Just a busy road and no front garden

She's a cutie that's for sure. Being older, the "tuppence" I knew was when we had Pounds, shillings and pence here prior to 1966! Of course Australia is now on decimal currency and metric measurements. Love Chris

I too remember tuppence from those far back days
I only know about them through Marry Poppins. Now I am humming this tune in my head all day long

She is a cutie and one cant help but love that face. I had a cat for 18 years and now back to dogs. I must have missed something or it might be the different versions of English. What do you mean with "before she went"?

Ran off possibly on a rabbit hunt
Got it. Thanks for explaining

She's looking inward. As we say here in US, and maybe you, too) she appears to be in a "brown study." Deep in thought. Love her coloring and markings.

I have forgotten what her mother was but she was a pedigree cat, her father wasnt. Her two brothers family emigrated to New Zealand but by the time they went through quarantine the family decided to come back to the UK. So they were only in NZ for about 6 weeks. Couldn't imagine trying to keep Tuppance inside for 24 hours let alone 6 months for quarantine.

Since she's an outdoor cat, so glad she was able to stay with the house. Cats just don't deal very well with being moved. She does look like a sweetie, glad you had a brief chance to reconnect.

What a dear little cat. I keep threatening to get a cat but my pekingese, Keenu would just want to chase it.
