Hello Cuties, as you know my hubby and I have been cutting precuts from my scrap stash. I picked out these 6 1/2 squares for a girl quilt. It was so much pink I thought of Steel Magnolias. Shelby (Julia Roberts) said her wedding colors were Blush and Bashful, when Mlynn said the church looked like it was covered in Pepto Bismol....I didn’t want to call it Pepto Bismol so....Blush & Bashful is the name of this throw. I used the Make a Charm Quilt On Point tut from Missouri Star but used my scrappy 6 1/2 inch squares instead of the 5 inch charms and no border. Hope you like!-Toogie

Such a pretty quilt and I LOVE STEEL MAGNOLIAS!! It would be one of my top 10 movies. This looks really great Toogie, I imagine this quilt would fit a single bed if the blocks finish about 6", love Chris

It’s a throw size 50x 56. I love the movie too, along with Fried Green Tomatoes, The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, Coal Miners Daughter, The Notebook, need I go on?😉😂

My all time favourite is The Color Purple and then Beaches!!!!
I too love The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Notebook.

Delightful Toogie is it a quilt for a specific person or one your giving away to a charity?

Not sure yet because we need more boy themed. If I can get another one done before pickup date I will hold one back. I separated boy 6 1/2 squares when I selected the girls. I may do the boys on the square , not on point, not sure. I thought I was too intimidated to try an on point. I quickly have changed my mind after doing the jeans and this one.

Seriously, though, it's a wonderful very pink quilt.

Lol- it is a very pink quilt. While looking in my stash for a backing, I came across this one. The bubble gum pink would have worked out good for those vintage blocks Trudy gave me, but the fabric wasn’t large enough. So reluctantly, I used it here.

Thank you mops, I am enjoying the different ways to put my precuts together. It hasn’t reduced my stack very much.

Thank you Laura, I quilted it closer than the Maze because I wanted it to bump up like popcorn when I washed it. It did. I washed it last night.

Very cheerful and interesting to look at! I think that using a few fabrics more than once really ties this quilt together. I'll have to remember that when I do my next scappy.

I LOVE this quilt! It is bright and cheery and it doesn't look too hard. There is just something about turning squares into diagonals that is just so appealing. Pretty, pretty , pretty

Thanks Jan, it was easy because I already had the squares cut. I pulled these out from my stack and still have a bunch left. It was fun making it too.
