Hi Cuties, well today the kids moved in. They are actually all downstairs in their beds as I write this. It's been a long day. Steve still has a couple more van loads to bring, but that can be done tomorrow and throughout the week, as their house is not being demolished until next Monday the 16th November.
In between sewing the attached Mrs Santa I did 4 loads of washing for Amy because they had to pack up their washing machine on Thursday. Ophelie and I made biscuits and we sorted out the washing once dried.
Once Steve had put the bunks together and their King size bed, I told him I'd make them up so that Amy didn't have to when she got here. When they arrived later this evening, she went downstairs and came back up crying saying how cosy and homely it was. She's a good girl and always very appreciative of any help she gets.
As their 'old' home was built in 1908 (112 years old) Amy and Steve want to keep the floorboards and reuse them in their new build, so the demolisher is keeping them aside for them.
The kids are really excited about being here and said they can't for Christmas.
I hope to make some more of these Santa/ Mrs Santa designs next week. This one is made in my biggest hoop 260x300 Wish me luck. Love Chris
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family.
Our grand-daughter has the ok to come back to WA to live, she had an accident in September last year and has been trying to get home every since. Hopefully she will be with us in a couple of weeks. We are very worried as she and a girl friend are driving from Queensland to WA and this time of the year it is really hotting up and the thought of driving over the Nullarbor just worries me no end. Both of them are so confident that everything will be ok, so we have to just go with the flow.
Hugs Roberta
I know how much more work you will have even though they may help you, but I also know you will enjoy them while there. Please show us before and after photos of each house. I would love to see the old house now. My husband and I both like old things, that's why we love each other-lol
It's usually so b...dy hot in November. I think the summer is going to yucky! Very humid for us up here. Love Chris
