Thank you for recognizing our brave men and women, my husband included.
Today we bury a nephew. He was a Vietnam veteran who received a Purple Heart. He and one other solider, were the only ones left in their unit, trying to hold a bridge. They succeeded.
That's the only story I heard, via my husband, because he wouldn't speak of it, unless he had been drinking too much.
