I was asked to add something nice to the Christmas present for the over 75s in our church. I said I had made FSL bookmarks in the past. Showed one and then they told me they needed 36, but as I was one of the over 75s 35 would suffice.
Delivered them this morning and forget to take a picture of the lot.
Here is a picture of the variations I made. Added a narrow white ribbon (8" doubled) through the loop.
The total stitch count added up to 350.000 and I had the machine set to the lowest speed (400 st per minute) as the gold thread breaks at high speed.
That many stitches at that slow speed would have me crossing my eyes or needing tooth picks to keep my eyes open. I've done large lots before. If only we could leave the machine and trust it would be good...
