I was asked to add something nice to the Christmas present for the over 75s in our church. I said I had made FSL bookmarks in the past. Showed one and then they told me they needed 36, but as I was one of the over 75s 35 would suffice.
Delivered them this morning and forget to take a picture of the lot.
Here is a picture of the variations I made. Added a narrow white ribbon (8" doubled) through the loop.
The total stitch count added up to 350.000 and I had the machine set to the lowest speed (400 st per minute) as the gold thread breaks at high speed.

I could get 7 in one hooping, but after a mishap with the third lot (which I had to throw away) I did not dare leave the room and then it became quite boring:)
I've had that problem too. Throwing it away is the only solution to that problem.

These are all gorgeous Martine. I was thinking of doing something similar, but my “best” machine is in having a good service!!! I’ve got my Brother packed away too as I’ve got my Ladies luncheon on Monday, so the house is getting ready for that. So that means a neat and tidy back back sewing room!!! What a wonderful project! I'm sure the recipients wll appreciate them! My neighbor makes her own Christmas cardsI I made several of Sonia's Christmas Angel for her and her prayer group. Looking at yours, I should have put a loop on the top! Did you add the loop or did it come with the design? Guess a little glue/ribbon would work.

I digitised the design, loop included. The loop is made by the first 50 stitches or so, that way it is not only nicely secured but I can also easily skip it if I would like to embroider it on fabric.

Problem with my 4-needle is that it does neither warn nor stop when a bobbin runs out. And of course it does, half way #5. I digitised an automatic stop before colour 2, should have made one after cross #4. Will do next time.

The projects area of the site is for Cuties to show photos of the work we have completed. The site covers people from all over the world. The only designs that are available here are the designs that you can buy either by being a member and then you can download everything while your membership lasts or you can buy individual designs. All the work in this the projects area is from many different sites including Cute. I am sure that there will be sites selling similar designs to these. You must have the patience of a saint, as they say! Thirty five?...would that be about 10,000 stitches each? WOW! They look marvelous and know the recipients will be thrilled. What size are they? Neat work!

Thank you. They are 2.06" x 3.84" You could just get two in a 100x100 hoop if you turn one upside down.
