Had to do two towels for a friend as gifts for her DILs, 'something with a crane'. Looked at a number of pictures and then draw and digitised my version of it. Tried out a crane on a wash cloth, then made the towels. I am quite pleased with the result. But the quality of the pictures is rather poor, lighting was not the best.

Wow! Love this. You caught them in motion. I have no doubt there will be several smiles with the giver and receiver.

Thank you. Yes, and it is so easy to draw them as stiff as can be. So I am pretty pleased myself.

What a graceful design you have created! Your stitchout on that towel is just perfect with no pokies! Congrats on a fabulous project!

I digitised a denser than usual underlay to tame the loops and used wss on top. That did the trick as far as pokies are concerned.
Ah! A good trick to keep in mind.

However you made those points and legs show on a towel I applaud you! Excellent designing and stitching. Your friend will be ecstatic!

Hope they still show after being laundered several times. :)

Stunning. I could claim them if they don't like them as it has my name on it already.
They will be a real hit. The design looks classy and very up market looking.

These look so perfect Martine and they stand out so well. I love the simplicity of the design and your sewing is just beautiful. Your friend's daughter in laws will love them. Love Chris

Thank you, Chris. What you can't see well in the picture, due to the almost black navy blue, is the variation in stitch direction. Love, Martine
