The other day anitapatch showed us her novel Christmas tree. As it was the first time my grandtwins had ever been to us in December I had to do some quick thinking. I went for a walk and picked up a small branch. Cut it down to size, painted it, planted it in sand and decorated it. The twins thought it was wonderful.

Thank you Chris. They are on their way back now and we are flying to Johannesburg next week. I hope that you also have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Unfortunately Covid is back here with us for its second round.

Your quick thinking crated a very pretty solution. I hope you create a work of art tree every year. And i think putting it in front of the mirror made it even better. Glad you had a wonderful visit.

Who knows what next Christmas will bring Karen. I doubt if I will be making another one.

How delightful Sarah. On the plus side no dropped needles and no tree to dispose of after... My Christmas decorations would be on the 'minimal' if not for grandchildren

I have never seen a proper Christmas tree in SA, only artificial ones.

Much more ecologically friendly.

I think it's cute! I wish I could get away with something like this but my nearly 40 year old wants me to still put up a huge tree. I do still have little ones come so I guess it will always be a big one for them....
