There was a really neat thing that happened after the fire. Lots of people were putting up banners that said, "Thank You Firefighters and First Responders." I made this banner for our front deck. After it was up for a couple of weeks and the snows came, I took it down to the fire station in town. I also took some pies - just from the grocery store. But... when I took it inside the very firefighters who were on our street wee the ones I met! They seemed to really like it! All the firefighters up here and they were the ones to be thanked in person for our home! No embroidery here, just cut out letters put on with spray adhesive and a little stitching. The heart is appliqué and fuzzy. The green is actually forest fabric with moose, elk, fish, bears, trees and cabins!
