Definitions of words change with the times. I just called my son, who I haven't seen for at least 6 weeks, with an emergency request. I had 10 light bulbs out that needed to be replaced on a ladder. I don't do ladders right now, because I don't want to break anything and wind up with the Covid patients at the Emergency Room. And my knee is still a bummer. So, "emergency" means something new to me. He was such a help including running several trips to the basement for me, too. I had a box full of "get rid of's" at the back door for him and his brother to sort through and take the rest to Salvation Army. So, my house looks cleaner and brighter and emptier, all of which makes me smile! He was so happy to see me, he forgot to spend any time with the kittens.

I prayed for a curly headed red headed girl and I got two out of three. My son with the red hair always says, couldn't you have prayed for something else? After 11 years of nothing but boys, I realized one day that the older one was tall enough to push a lawnmower, and I saw, God was right!

I have strict instructions from my daughter not to get on a ladder. Kind of tough for an independent gal like me. As age creeps up on me more and more restrictions appear.

Well done to your son Betsey. I feel like you I'm not too happy about getting up on the ladder, but I don't want Trevor climbing them. Hope you are faring well. Love Chris
