These are Pillow shams, they go with my recent quilt, I has a small amount of fabric left from the bias binding so I planed very careful so I would have enough to put some on the shams here is what I came up with (I want as much red as I could get and still have some for both shams). They are bigger than I wanted, but they work ok.

Thanks, they turned out better than I thought they would, I tried a couple of different methods, but like this one the best.

Very pretty shams and colorful reds bed runner. I have to make shams for Avery & Ashley’s beds when I finish this quilt I’m working on.

They are not hard to make, after I get the front like I want it I just bias bind them just as I would a quilt.

How are you making the backs? Two pieces that overlap? Or a zippered back? Etc
by jenne 13 Feb 2021
Yes, that is the easy way however, I have put zippers in across the shams making it easier to put the pillows in.

They look AWESOME! They are just what the quilt needed! WE see so many beautiful quilts and then just plain pillowcases. This really finished it off nicely! Thanks for the idea!

Thanks, You are welcome I did not have much fabric left from the bias binding, but had just enough for this idea to work and it looks ok, would liked to had a bit more, but made this amount do.
