Wanted to show you all a feature on my digi software called raised satin that I have never used......this is a client who wanted puffy on her stuff (all those sets I got) and after experimenting this is what I got and she loves it...it is so hard to see in pic how raised it is, but it is almost like it has puffy foam under it........This is black on black (pic is washed out)...I guess the monocromatic look is trending.......

Awesome so are you sewing on puffy foam with fabric over and under it?I never heard of this but love it?

No, not using puffy foam.....I have used it in the past but it is difficult to digitize as you have to enclose the ends on all sides, so I thought I would try this feature in my software called raised satin and it is almost as good as using puffy foam....
ok thanks i love it:):)

Turned out great. Love the effect it created.. There is always something new to discover. I have not used half of the feet that came along with my sewing machine. Someday.....

You are so right......I haven't used alot in my digi program, but when this client came to me and wanted puffy stuff, I thought, what the heck let's see if I can create it without the puffy foam....and voila!

I've never hear of "raised satin" before...but it is wonderful! Did you have to use a heavier stabilizer or fabric? Looks like it'd cut the design out in lighter fabrics.

I would not attempt this on thinner fabric......this is sweatshirt material.....I used cutaway stabilizer 3.0 oz
Thanks for the info!

I was just pulling out my puffy designs. Is there a trick when digitizing?

If you have a raised satin stitch in your program it is by far easier than digitizing for puff foam......I have watched videos and it seems tedious.......
