Hi Cuties, we are now in Sydney after spending 2 days up in the Blue mountains. It’s been a beautiful day and we had dinner with our best friends John and Deirdre (they are the ones who own the Montvalley vineyards that we visit frequently, up in the Hunter valley).

Tomorrow off for a big walk then to see Tosca at The Opera House. Have a great day as I say goodnight. Love Chris

3. Barangaroo casino.

I'm so glad you are having a wonderful time on your vacation. Sydney is such a beautiful city with so much to see and do. The casino building is so interesting. I've never heard of it or seen pictures of it. i hope you slept well and get to rest between your walk and the opera.

Thanks Karen, it's now 10.00am Sunday morning and we've been for a long walk this morning and we are back in our apartment reading newspapers and catching up on emails etc.
The Casino building at Barangaroo is not very old. It was only finished in March of 2020. It started in 2016, so it is very new and all the walkways around the shoreline consists of massive limestone blocks. It's beautiful. Love Chris

What a wonderful time you are having! Lovely pictures. We've become here in the US used to identifying the Sydney Opera house as it was the central shot in so many of the Olympic shots, but I've never seen Barangaroo casino. What an interesting building! It makes me think of a pitcher plant.

Thanks for showing this plant

That is a good analogy Jerrilyn. It's a very unique looking building. Sydney's skyline is changing daily and there are so many cranes about the place.
We've woken up to another humid day with a beautiful blue sky and fluffy white clouds. So looking forward to our Opera - we are going to a matinee session at 12.30. Love Chris

Hi Kim, yes it's a lovely little get away. We had so many holidays planned last year, so we are catching up. We've got more planned in April, June (New Zealand if we can) if not then off to Adelaide (our birthplace) and then some later in the year. We don't know when Australia will let us fly overseas to Europe, so we will wait. Love Chris

Hi Laura, yes, it's great and Sydney certainly is a wonderful city to visit. I hate the traffic here, Newcastle where we live is only a 2 hour drive north and the traffic is nowhere near as bad. Down here there are so many roads and over passes and under passes, if you don't keep an eye on the overhead directions you get lost. I feel sorry for tourists who do not know our road rules. Love Chris

Great pictures Chris, In all my 51 years living in Australia I have never been to Sydney, I must rectify that soon.
