I still get a little knitting in, but not too much. My puppy Coco has a build in clock and about 8 pm she decides she needs my undivided attention. Her body is always placed in such a way that knitting needles are impossible. But.........I enjoy the cuddle time.

Coco looks adorable and what a friend to have. Typical that the cuddles prevent crafting. Great idea with your selection of coloured buttons.

Thanks. Her mom is a German Shepherd and the spitting image of the one I had to put down. Dad is a lab. She has the body of a shepherd and the attitude of a lab.

Right now there is not much more I can do till she is 18 month old. Doing everything in the meantime with meds, supplements etc. Very often her back legs are totally crossed. One day at the time

I was taught how to knit as a child and was not too fond of it at that time. Ironically I learned to love it and had a yarn shop for years.

Thank you. No I have not. The most my big dogs ever had was a bandanna around their neck

I know how you feel. Coco came into my life after having to put down my German Shepherd of 14 years. My husband is gone too, but never knew my shepherd.

That sweet, sweet baby! Our puppy prefers Mike's lap at night and I'm OK with that. Your knitting in lovely! I so envy you who knit. I wish that I had known that when I was younger.

I lost my 17 year old Beagle some years ago. I loved him as if he were my handicapped [guess I can phrase it that way] baby. I took him on walks, out to use the bathroom, fed him, washed him. My husband loved him too but I was the one he came to. I was sick myself at the time with congestive heart failure and bad thyroid with the radiation and just had no strength at all--lost 65 lbs, more than when I had cancer. I could not stand the heartache I was going through so told the kids and anyone else--DO NO GET ME A PET of any kind. I have his grave behind my shed with flowers planted around him. My husband built him a casket and was ready with hole in the ground and all the day we had to take him to put him down--he was going to die that day. Didn't mean this as a soap opera story. But this picture is so precious. I can knit a little bit and wished I could a whole lot. I used to crochet a lot but find needlework and my hand joints are not compatible. I love seeing your beautiful things.
