My daughter Emma has just sent me the first of probably hundreds of seeing the gorillas in Rwanda.

I think I better explain. My daughter is trying to get back to Dubai. As she has been visiting South Africa she needs to have two weeks out of SA (Covid) before she can fly to Dubai.

She started off in Nairobi/ Kenya but thy closed their borders just after she arrived. She flew to Rwanda, thought she would never get the opportunity to see the gorillas again - hence the visit. So she is now booked to fly to Dubai on 8 April. I just hope nothing happens to stop her getting ‘home’.

I'm impressed! Her photography is beautiful and really shows off the incredible animals. I hope you show more of her pictures and that she remain safe while taking them.

Thank you Karen - all done with her iPhone. She has just spoken to me from the hotel. Absolutely exhausted. She had to walk with the rangers for two hours through dense jungle to find the gorillas.

Beautiful photography! She must be on holiday/vacation. Is Josh with her or do I have the daughters confused?

You have the right daughter and Josh is not with her. He is very envious.

Laura, I am actually in quite a state about her. Thank goodness she is managing to work while in the hotel. It has all become a bit of a nightmare for her.

They are spectacular beasts... I have seen them once when I visited the Zoo in Washington DC...one of the females had just had a baby...it was incredible... We were also lucky enough to see the Grand Pandas there too...

Wonderful photo's to think these were taken in the wild not in a zoo.
What a wonderful feeling that would have been to see them free.

Awesome, awesome pictures. Travel because of the virus has become an adventure. One never knows how it will turn out. I am so glad Emma had this wonderful experience.

What magnificent pictures of Emma's these are. The Silver backs are a spectacular Gorilla and how fortunate that she got to see them in their natural habitat. I hope she can make it back home relatively easy. Love Chris
