Made this yesterday. Soft vinyl and I admit hard to try to 'squash down so it wouldn't jam up near the foot. First and didn't think I used Tear away. It tore away alright and slid around so out of the machine it came hole punctures and all. Put cut away [2 light layers] in the hoop and then hoped for the best. Remembered to rotate my design but not check for center--so was off a bit. Found a tiny heart in my designs after design finished last color and left it hooped and placed the heart on my usb. Played around a while until satisfied with where my thoughts were going and then copied and pasted 2 more times, moving it around. I managed to cover the needle punctures but now on my regular sewing machine I will use black thread to match pins in the cushion and make it look like pins are falling off the sewing table and onto the floor on the side with more room to balance better. Barrel Tote was purchased approx 2 yrs ago at our local Good Will, brand new with tag still on it. Makes for a great sewing travel tote.

Nice save. I think I would find a stack of fabric bolts design to fill the space to make it balance better.

Adorable design and great save. Love your idea of the pins or as someone suggested fabric, Of course any sewing related would be good for balance. Hope you post again when you do that.

I did get the pins made on the sewing machine. Will have to take another pic and post it. It's done, all I am going to do with it.

I also have this design but on a machine cover for my Treadle machine. I applaud you for doing it on Vinyl as well as so close to the straps. You have done a great job of it. Well done.

All I can say "you are a brave lady". Glad it turned out so well. I might get enough courage some day to try embroidery on vinyl. You did well

Embroidery on vinyl is great but you better be sure about the stitching because it leaves holes from the needle piercings. You have to stay right with the project also.

I have used a silicon fabric slip spray, on vinal, lycra, anything thats slippery it works well does not stain the fabric...wendy

I have not heard of this product or how to use it. My magnetic hoop I didn't think would work but now thinking about it, it might would have worked with just the bottom and attach heavy magnets around strategically.
