Did you ever started creating something without knowing to whom you will give this gift ?... I just did.

2 years back I bought 2 pieces of fabric because my friend's daughter was pregnant; one fabric for a boy one for a girl.. it ended being a boy.. so yesterday I realized that the "girl fabric" was till lying around.. and I sewed the piece if it would have been a girl... but now - at this moment- I don't have anybody to give it ..

I have to do it all the time...when I create new projects and digitize them, I need to test the designs.. sometimes more than once... so I end up with tons of projects that have no "home" and are waiting patiently for the right recipient...

Think of it as inventory, as businesses do.

These projects will never be wasted, even if it takes several years to find a home. My guess is most all of us have a basket, box or drawer of these projects.

I do that often. A new project i want to try out. Once finished it goes in a box and sooner or later the opportunity comes along to turn it into a gift

I do that too! At least I have a good inventory of things to do.
